We are not so different you and I! (Sports fans and cosplayers)

I was siitting here this evening thinking of an interesting conundrum. You see there are two groups of people that dress up in outlandish outfits and go to events. The first category being sports fans, and the second being cosplayers. Now when we think about this logically how is it any different to dress up in your favorite team gear, with paint all over your face, to go to a game versus dressing up in your favorite garb or as your favorite character and going to a Con? I see no difference. In fact once may say they are quite similar. So next time you laugh at someone dressing up as a Victorian lady, think about if you have a sports jersey in your closet of your favorite sports player. You are woven of the same cloth.

New and interesting things!

 We have started a new venture! Steampunk weapons! Though it is in its first stages, I think we are doing pretty well for just winging it. I (Nicole) am going to take point on making them, with some additions by Penny. They are a lot of fun to make, you just need a ton of air flow in the room, or you get a head ache from the paint. I am really excited about this new adventure, and hope that our shoppers love them as much as I do. Here are a couple previews of our new weapons!
Hopefully we can sell these at the convention we are going to (SheVAcon) which is a sci-fi, horror, and fantasy convention!

Well this post comes a little late, but better late than never I say.

We decided when we hit 50 followers that we would do a raffle for a free vase or salt and pepper shakers in the colors of the winners choice. So we finally hit 50 follows, and had our drawing. A friend of mine was the lucky winner, and she asked that we surprise her with some shakers of our choice. So we went a little off the beaten path with these, but I think they are awesome and suit Ava! She might have gotten some other free goodies in the box as well.

AHA! I found the link! Etsy Rock Stars ROCKIN Holiday sales event.

So this year for the holidays sever Etsians and I have created a sale event. Its big, its bad ass, and you should really check it out or you are sucky.

First craft show, Black Friday sales, and life

So we had our first craft show this past weekend in Powhatan. We didnt sell much, but we learned a lot about how to set up booths! We also passed out a ton of business cards so that people could order off our website, apparently not taking credit cards is bad. (Its a craft show I thought people would know cash) So anyway we ordered a "Square" which will make it possible for us to accept credit cards by swiping them directly into our Iphones. Pretty darn nifty if you ask me.

So I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving, and have not to crazy a time over the next couple weeks in prep for the Holidays. I know I am going crazy right now with everything. I am moving to a bigger house on the 30th of this month, then another craft show on the 3rd of December. So I am kinda crazy chicken right now. But hey I can handle presssure (not).
